Triple Single Backpack Tag Instructions

Rainbow Loom Backpack Tag

How to Make A Rainbow Loom Triple Single Backpack Charm

In this video you will learn how to make the Tripe Single Backpack Tag (a beginner level design). To make this backpack tag you will need:

  • 54 “A” Green bands.
  • 24 “B” Grey bands.
  • 21 “C” White bands.
  • A key ring.
  • A “C” Clip.

It’s a good idea to have the supplies ready before you begin and get ready to continue with the following steps in the guide.

Step 1: Placing the Bands.

Let’s get started: place your Loom so that the red arrow is pointing away from you. To make this backpack tag we will be placing two “A” color bands at a time along the left side of the Loom. We will start with the center pin and continue towards the left just like it is shown in the video. After you placed the last two bands in the last center pin, return to the beginning of the Loom and do the same for the right side of the it. To continue, go back to the first center pin: we will place two “B” color bands at the time through all the central pins in the Loom. When you are done, place the 11 “C” bands (in the shape of triangles) along the center of the Loom, placing it on three pins at a time. The triangles should be pointing towards you: use one band per triangle.

Step 2: Looping the bands.

Begin by turning the Loom (the red arrow should be pointing towards you). Place your key ring on the “new” first central pin. Start by looping the “B” bands forward (both two at the same time). Once you finished looping the center of the Loom, continue by looping the “A” color bands: this time by the sides of the Loom. Remember to check the video and make sure that you are securing the key ring correctly with the bands. You may have to push back the “C” bands before grabbing the “A” bands with the hook and looping them. All the last bands should be looped to the last center pin.

Step 3: Finishing.

To finish the backpack tag, move all the bands on the last pin up to the top. Slide your hook down through the channel and tilt it to the side. Place two “A” color bands on the end of the hook. Pull back your hook and then slide it through the new bands: both end of the bands should now be grabbed by the hook. Move the bands to the thickest part of the hook and pull all the bands from the Loom using your fingers. You can now attach the “C” clip to the bands on your hook in order to finish your tag. You can also watch the last part of the video to learn how to extend your backpack tag.
